ILS provides a comprehensive range of Care at Home services to enable older people to live at home safely for as long as possible.
Care plans are based upon an assessment of each individuals needs and are reviewed regularly to ensure they continue to promote enablement and independence within the home. ILS works closely with other professionals and informal carers to ensure our services compliment the overall support provided within the home.
Our approach is to deliver a personalised care service that can be measured by the outcomes it delivers for individual Service Users. We recognise the importance to older people of having continuity in the care they receive which is also allied to flexibility in meeting their needs and which is fully responsive and adaptable to their changing needs.
As people age they can become vulnerable within their home as a result of loss of health, mobility and social supports. Whilst such loss can often happen over a period of time older people can also experience a sudden change or crisis in their health or that of a close relative.
Practical support on a regular and frequent basis is often needed and increasingly ILS are providing personal care and intensive support for individuals who require a higher level of support either through a crisis or on an ongoing basis as a result of increased frailty and ill health.
ILS recognises the importance of promoting independence and the benefits of working with an older person through a crisis or after an episode in hospital to relearn or regain daily living skills.
Our ability to be able to deliver such a wide spectrum of care services enables ILS to be fully responsive to changing needs and to support the most vulnerable older people to stay at home for as long as it is safe to do so. All of these services can be provided directly to the client via the direct payments scheme as well as through the service as commissioned by the local authority.
